COURSE PROPER.
ELLERSLIE TRIALS. KATHBELLA ARRIVES.
Trainers had the uec of tlie course proper for last work at Ellorslie this morning, the going being in excellent order. Ihe poles were 00ft out. The most interesting trial was that of Kindergarten and Black Thread over six furJongß, while others to please were Bronzo and Corot. The Easter Handicap candidates Kin(Harris) and Black Thread (Mclavish) ran six furlongs in 1.18 They covered the first three in 39 2-5s and both had a good deal in reserve. Bronzo (load) sprinted half a mile in 51 2-5s which was the best of the morning over the distance. Corot (McTavish) was not Unduly bustled w-hen running six furlonoa m 1.19 4-ss, while Night l»Uot (Bagby) was going comfortably in a similar task which took 1.21.
