FIRE DAMAGES HOUSE.
Fire engines from the Central. We.-t----ern Districts and Pnrnell stations attended a fire which broke out at 7.30 p.m. yesterday in a. two-storey wooden apartment house at 44. Symond,-. Street. The contents of one room were considerably damaged l>y fire, and another room and the staircase landing wen , also damaged. The is owned by Mrs. 1. Jones.
