OLD CLOTHES.
BE STRONG-MINDED. Did you ever get sentimental about a frock . . . that insane, till-death-do-us-part attitude towards a particularly beloved suit or frock or pair of shoe?, so that yoTi simply can't discard it like a smart girl should. Well, weaken if you must about your old clothes, but be strong-minded about corsets. Don't at any price let yourself form a sentimental attachment to any old girdle or wrapon or other figure foundation. You simply can't afford it. When a friend tells me that she really can't part with her corsets, they're so very comfortable, I know exactly what she's done, writes an English woman journalist. She's taken every single bone out—and those boneless remains are not even the shadow of a corset. They're the equivalent of a very worn and shabby vest. And if she believes she's got a corset taking care of her figure, she's kidding herself, and might as "well believe in fairies. Do be practical and sensible about your foundations. I can't begin to tell you how important they are. But every dress designer, every famous coutoiirier —in fact even your own little local dressmaker—aii the movie stars, all famous mannequins, will tell you "fxwk to your corsets, lady!" And all those glamour experts can't be wrong!
