CLASHES WITH TROOPS Six Killed In Demonstrations For Independence. United Tress Association.—Copyright. (Reed, noon.) BEIRUT, Mar. 30. Six Syrians were killed and scores wounded when French and Senegalese troops clashed with demonstrators for independence in Damascus, Aleppo, Horns and Saina yesterday. The Syrians renewed the general strike and extended it to communications. The authorities ordered the troops to fire if the demonstrations were repeated. The Syrians are holding out for maximum demands and insist on immediate parliamentary elections or the establishment of a body to represent them. The French have called a conference. General Dcntz. French High Commissioner, has secretly gone to Vichy to report.
