CLIPPER TO-DAY.
DEPARTURE TO-MORROW. Commanded by Captain K. Beer, PanAmerican Airways' American Clipper left Noumea for Auckland at 8 a/m., New Zealand time, to-day, after having been delayed for a day bv a slight mechanical fault. . A defect in a fitting in the steering column in the pilots' control-cabin prevented the Clipper from completing the flight from San Francisco yesterday, and she was detained at Noumea while the necessary repairs and tests were made. Time set down for (lie nipper's arrival at Auckland was 3.30 p.m. The return flight to San Francisco-will begin at 5.30 a.m. to-morrow. The eleven passengers will be: Messrs. O. Denny. I!. ]>.
