I homason, of the Cambridge, brigade, leceivcd his void star for 2"> years' continuous service vvith the local brigade. The award wa- made bv the president of the 1.1'.11.A.. Mr. ll.' 1.. Warner, of llawera. Mr. Thomason wa- presented with an engraved clock from tli" Cambridge brigade and a wine set of ery-tal from the Cambridge lire board. Mr. Thomason joined the old volunteer lire brigade in t ambridgc on March 0. lftlli. and since that time he has served in -cveral official eapacitie<-. For the pa-t ten year.- he ha- been foreman under the Cambridge Fire Board. A feature of the attendance wa- the presence of 1:1 gold star me.n. including Superintendent W. Moore, of Paeroa. who has the record of 4l> year-' continuous -ei v ii'e.
