ARMY PROMOTIONS.
POSTS FOR OFFICERS. Promotions of officers serving in the New Zealand Military Forces and new appointment* are contained in the. current issue of the, "New Zealand Gazette." They are: — Expeditionary Force.. —Lieutenant B. M. Laird (Auckland Battalion) is promoted to captain while holding the appointment of adjutant Composite Training Depot, and -Second-Lieutenant A. M. B. Lenton (Auckland Battalion) to \>c lieutenant while quartermaster of 1 lie Composite Training Depot. Lieutenant J. S. Tomlinson (18th Auckland Battalion) is transferred to the Army Service Corps. Lieutenant G. T. Upton (-9th Infantry, Mixed, Battalion) promoted to captain and remains seconded to the Fiji Defence. Force. Temporary Staff.—Mr. \V. Calderwood. late Imperial Army, to be lieutenant, and is appointed adjutant of the Ist Battalion, New Zealand Scottish Regiment. Territorial Units. North Auckland Mounted Rifles.—Mr. It. R. Webb to be second-lieutenant. Auckland Regiment.—Captain H. F. Prolhcro, 3rd Battalion, to bo major. North Auckland Regiment.—Lieutenant J. Subritzky promoted to captain. National Military Reserve.—Captains W. S. Hill, O. R. Hutchinson, J. L. Scoullar. Ist Battalion, to be majors; Lieutenants W. O. Hall. L. J. Roue, M.C.; F. R. O'Gorman, M.C.: J. L. H. Kayes. 11. W. Price. D.C.M., to be captains. Medical Corps.—Dr. J. B. W. Robertson to be captain. Northern Military District: Lieutenant D. J. A. Doyle ceases to bo posted to the 2nd Field Ambulance and is attached to the Northern Military District. Veterinary Corps—Mr. D. W. Newman to be lieutenant, Northern Military District. Nursing Service.—Staff Nurse C. Atkinson to be charge sister while In charge o( the camp hospital. Narrow Neck.
