HISTORICAL HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EASTER HANDICAP.
*.veight will Kindergarten get, and will he start? These were the first thoughts of racing enthusiasts when they saw this morning the nominations for the Easter Handicap to be run at Ellerslie three weeks from to-day. One of the questions will be answered on Tuesdav. April when Mr. J. McManemin will announce his assessments. Kindergarten. of course, will be top-weight. and it is likely that his ur en will be bi<zt;cr than anything ever carried successfully in the race. No doubt an announcement as to the likelihood of the champion starting will be made soon after the weights appear.
