Mr. Justice Call an. who haa been presiding at sittings in Auckland of the Comn» •ion of Inquiry into the alleged leakage of shipping information, and other members of the Commission left for Wellington last night.
Mr. A. H. Johnstone, K.C- Mr. J. B. Johnston and Mr. S. R. Ma«»n have returned from Wellington after attending the annual meeting of the council of the r*ew Zealand Law Society.
Mr. G. W. Hutchison, secretarr of the Automobile Association (Auckland), Mr F. G. Farrell, president, and Mr. A. Grayson, * member, returned to Auckland today after attending the half-yearly meeting of the North Island Motor Union.
...Mr , s - Green, first assistant Master at \V ejlesley Street School, trill retire on Monday after completing 40 years' service a« a teacher. Thirty years of his teaching experience liav e been spent at the Wellc*ley Street School, and hundrds of Auckland citizen* have passed through his hands. _ On Tuesday a presentation frota past and preoent pupils will be made to Mr. Green at the school.
Mr. R. R. Bernll. accountant of the Newmarket branch of the Bank of New Zealand, is to be transferred to the Wnuku branch aa manager, succeeding Mr. W. E. Westlake, *ho has been appointed manager at Paeroa. Mr. W. Rowan, manager at Paeroa, ha* been appointed manager at Napier. Mr. TV. R. Cole, accountant at the Hamilton branch, is to be manager at Otahuhs, in succession to Mr. J. D. Gardiner, who has been appointed manager at Tanmarunui. Mr. N. G Sutherland is to be accountant at Hamilton.
