TALE OF A SOLDIER.
She was a maiden aunt and a jolly one, and she was waxing. indignant to some of thie girls in her office. "I was sitting at home the other night and a soldier came in. What do you think, he followed me right through the house into the dining room and bit me on the ear! And then," she added, "I killed the little brute!" The others went from shrieks of laughter to gaping wonder. A murderess in their midst ? They had never heard of the red insect, commonly known as the "soldier," -which has a nausty sting.
