Injuries to the spine were suffered by Mr. Edward Nathan, ajred 2t>, of S3. threat North Road. New Lynn, when .ie fell from a moving tramcar at Avondale on Saturday nig-ht. When a car. travelling from the city towards Henderson crashed into a pole carrying telegraph and electric power lines near Auckland Rus. Company's depot yesterday morninjr. it snapped the pole off at its base. The car was considerably damaged, but the driver escaped injury. Working throughout the day linesmen repaired the fallen lines late in the afternoon.
