The driver and a spectator were injured and taken by ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. The driver. William H. Forder. aged 2!t, single, of 1."V2. (Jreeii Lane Road, suffered severe lacerations to the head, face and left le£. The spectator, Mi-s Thelmn Sainty. aj;ed lt>, of Hobsonville, received head injuries, abrasione and a fracture of the right knee. Injuries to the spine were suffered by Mr. Edward Nathan, ajred 2t>, of S3. threat North Road. New Lynn, when .ie fell from a moving tramcar at Avondale on Saturday nig-ht. When a car. travelling from the city towards Henderson crashed into a pole carrying telegraph and electric power lines near Auckland Rus. Company's depot yesterday morninjr. it snapped the pole off at its base. The car was considerably damaged, but the driver escaped injury. Working throughout the day linesmen repaired the fallen lines late in the afternoon.
