BEAVIS BREAKS TRACK RECORD AT WESTERN SPRINGS.
The Australian race driver, G. Beavia, and F. Brewer provided some thrills at the Western Springs Stadium on Saturday night, when a further programme of midget enr and motor cycTe races was held. Honours in match races were equal until the end of the evening, when Beavis had to withdraw owing to magneto trouble. Driving magnificently in the second heat for the Butcher Cup, Beavis broke tihc track record for four laps, registering 1.20 2-j. The priiK-Lpal event of the evening, in which Beavis did not take part, was won by F. Brewer, driving from 140 yards behind. ltesults were: — MIDGET CARS. Butcher Cup four laps.—First heat: P.
