DROWNING FATALITY.
FATE OF YOUNG MAN. (0.C.) HUXTLY, Sunday. While swimming in the Waikato River this, afternoon Mr. John McKendry, who arrived at Huntly only a week ago from the South Island, -was seen to t>e in difficulties soon after he entered tho water and another swimmer, Mr. Roy Smith, went to his assistance. Mr. McKendry eeized him by the wrist, however, and he was obliged to break away. The victim was carried rapidly downstream and the body had not been recovered to-night.
