WAIKATO AIRPORT
GRANT FOR LEVELLING. (O.C.i HAMILTON. Sunday. The Mayor of Hamilton, Mr. H. D. Caro, who is chairman of the Waikato Airport- Board, has been advised that the Cabinet has reproved a grant which will be used to \em'\ the Waikato aerodrome, at Rukuhia, and work will commence immediately. The aerodrome will be modernised so as to be available, for use by the largest aeroplanes in New Zealand, and will be subject to all requirernent* of the Air Department.
Although it i* not stated whether the work would be done by the Air Department or the Public Works Department, or that the board should do the work by contract, it is. hoped that arrangements will be made with the Public Works Department for the completion of the work.
