United Press Assm-im imi.~ ("ivpyri^ht. (Reed, noun.) ROM I".. tVb. 28. The supreme c-imiinaiuler of the Italian forces in North Africa reviewed and welcomed detachments of Germans. The. commander of the Germans expressed his certainty of victory in North Africa. Ho said: '"We have taken an oaMi to make a lni>t effort Jo secure victory for the Axis." An Italian communique says Italian and Herman planes in North Africa bombed and lnarliine-guiined armoured units. Italian troops repulsed renewed attacks at Kiifra and Jarabub, in Libva.
Italian artillery was intensely active in the Keren sector (Kritroa). The fight continues violently in Somaliland. Italian troops are evacuating Mogadishio and are fighting strenuously to thn north.
