BEAMISH CLAN.
A recent ieeue of "The Field" (England) contains the following ajiswer to a correspondent: —
Two ot the Bcarnfeh brothers played for Ireland, and the third -ot an lfi*li trial. All three brothers are in the R. \ F Of the first two, the elder (G.R.) played againet England in 1925-8-9-31-2-3; against Scotland. 1925-8-9-30-1-2-3-againet Wales, 192.5-S-9-30-1-2-3; a{ra?n4 France, 1923-0-30-1, and against South Africa in 1032. The younger (C. E. St. J.) played against Wales in 1933-4-5-C-S Scotland in 1933-4-5-6, England in 1035-6' and Xew Zealand (at Twickenham) in' 1936.
Curiously the re-ply makes no reference to G. R. Beamieh having played in all four Tests against the 1930 All Blacks in New Zealand. Hβ also appeared in the game in which Auckland beat the Britons 19—6, and got a nasty shaking up when the diminutive Mervyn Corner grassed George with a dive-tackle. In fact he had to be attended by a dentwt after the match.
