N.Z. BUSINESS MAN. SIR GEORGE DAVIS' CAREER. (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Sir George Davis, of Sydney, is a New Zealander who received a knighthood in the Xcw Year Honours. He is a brother of Mr. C. C. Davis, of Christchurch. With his brother, Sir George has been associated in the development of several industrial organisations in Australia and New Zealand, notably the Cockatoo Naval Dockyard, Sydney, Davis Gelatine industries in both countries, and in the huge sliale oil plant at Glen Davis, New South Wales.

Both Sir George and Lady Davis are also well known in Auckland, Lady Davis, before her marriage, being Miss Schischka. Her father was a prominent merchant.
