tITILLIAM TREVOR POUNTNEY. who !s*l »» Saturday won the Auckland handicap singles title from the difficult mark of owe 50, has at the early age of 22 caned a name for himself in the New Zealand tennis world. A joint member of both Remuera and Camp bell Tennis Clubs. Pounlney has been the tennis spotlight since the 1936-37 season, when he won tlie South Auckland singles. The following season he won the men* singles at Dannevirke, Wanganui and »1 Palmerston North.
