South Auckland.—Section play in the South Auckland Bov.iing Club's New Year tournament concluded on the Whitlora club's greens yesterday Three teams qualified:—Judge, Wheeler, Hawkins. Bond (Frankton); Davis. Douglas. North Gee (Te Awamutu), Smith, Ibbotson. Frost, Morris (Whitioia). Each secured eight .wins. The position of the other teams was:— "ilkineton 6 wins; Shirley, Robinson, 5 wins: Pavis \ wins- Loveridge, Moon, Kemp, Graham. Delargey, Finch, 3 wins; Millington, 1 win. Cirlton.—Forty-iwo teams competed in a fuUrink tournament held by the Carlton Bowling Club for the MacElliott Memorial Trophy. The section winners were as follows:—Section A. Little (Carlton); section B, Manning (Balmoral); section C, H. Jenkin (Carlton); section D, Mingins (Onehunga); section E, Glenister (Auckland)' section F, Twer.tyman (Thames): section G Franks (Balmoral). Inter-section play resulted as follows. —Little beat Manning, Pranks beat Glenister, Mingins beat Jenkin, Twentyman, a bye. Further play will be held to-day. Panakura—A full-rink tourney played at Papakura was won by A. Hammond (Papakura), the runner-up being C. Butcher (Buckland). Kensington—A Rocky Nook (Auckland) four. Hart. Head. Brydon. Nugent, won the Kensington Bowling Club's annual full-rink tournament. Runners-up were a Whan»arei club's rink. Wood, Walker. Gribble. Erceg. Waiuku Tcsms from Pukekohe. Bucklend, Tuakau and Patumahoe joined with Waiuku teams over the New Year holidays in playing two one-day full-rink tournaments on the Waiuku club's greens The winners on the first day were G. Goodwright. H. Garland, H. B. Armitage and L. Wrathall <Waiuku). On the second day the honours .went to another Waiuku rink. W. Jerram, D. Hayes. R. Whiteslde and A. Arkle.
