FAST HALF-MILE.

GALLOPS AT ELLERSLIE

As most of the horses raced at the Auckland summer meeting there was not a great den] of galloping at Ellerslie this morning. Xo. 3 glass track was open and the going was hard and fast.

Golden Pay (Gilehrist) ran half a mile ni 49 2-ss, hitting out freely. Hunter'e Jtose (Markwick) took 528 fqr a similar distance, while Cherry Ticket (Gilchrist), British Camp (Speck) and X>aet Survey I Pell) traversed three furlongs in 39 3-ss. There was little between them and they all worked well. Master Warden (Gilchrist) took 39 4-;">s for a similar distance, while Ohniaha (Messervy) and Quietly (Hearn) furlongs in 50 2-ss, after running the first furlong in 13s. Both were doing their work well at the end. On the Tan. Paddy the Rip was sent a round, traversing the last six furlongs in 1.27 4-5. White Mark ran the last half mile of her ■work in 56 3-ss. Over Hurdles. Glen Abb (Ritchie) gave a good exhibition over four hurdles in the centre. Remaining Here. Master Appellant has been left in charge of J. Chisholvn at Ellerslie. Bronze Emerald, who met with injuries through running into a fence some time ago, is now back on the track at Ellerslie. He is looking well. Lady Acushla, who is in the sumo stable, was badly galloped on at the Auckland meeting and has been put on the easy list.
