GIRL UNCONSCIOUS.

TOUCHED ELECTRIC SOCKET

(0.C.) WAIHI, this day. A narrow eeea.pe from electrocution was experienced at Waihi Beach last nig-ht Vy Miss Shirley Worth, 17, of Waiihi. Occupying a toiit with her little sister Sheila she wa.s attempting to fix an electric bulb in a socket prior to retiring for the night when she received a powerful s-hock which rendered her unconscious.

The alarm wa-s .jnven by her sister, ■who informed Mrs J. Kosborough, who is in charge or the St. John Ambulance station at the beach. First aid was rendered by her, including artificial respiration, and the injured girl Mas later attended toy Dr. Barrowclough, who had her conveyed to the Waihi Hospital. Her condition to-dav was satisfactory.
