LONG DISCUSSION.

Mr. Eden And M. Maisky Confer. RUSSIA'S * CONCERN. (Reed. 9.30 a.m.) LOXDOX, Dec. 30. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Anthony Eden, bad a long conference with the Soviet Ambassador to London, M. Maisky, who expressed his personal pleasure at renewing relations with Mr. Eden, says '"The Times" diplomatic correspondent. It is understood that M. Maisky and Mr. Eden discussed every aspect of British-Soviet relations. Well-informed circles state that Russia is far from indifferent concerning the possibility of a German offensive in the Balkans in the spring, Russia fearing an extension of the war because she is likely to become involved. Russia's attitude undoubtedly explains her diplomatic support of Bulgaria, also the improvement of Russo-Turkish relations.
