GIFTS FROM COLONIES.

(Reed. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, Dec. 30. The Secretary for the Colonies acknowledges the following gifts:— £100,000 collected before Christmas by Trinidad to purchase aircraft, £1000 from the British Honduras "Win the War" Fund, £2000 from the people of Barbados as the first instalment of a special Christmas contribution to the British Red Cross, £2500 from the Sultan of Brunei towards the war effort, and a further 250.000 rupees from the War Purposes Fund in Ceylon.
