The Electric Handicap' has attracted a dozen. Bronwen won the Railway Handicap on Wednesday from Proud Kos and Arvakur. and she should again go well. However, Gold Money Song stayed on to get fourth. Sure Pay and Kentucky are recent winners, but the latter failed on Thursday. The Kings Plate, though only half a dozen remain, should provide a good race. Royal Chief won the Wellington Handicap and the Harcourt Stakes, both mile and three furlong events at the recent Wellington fixture, and later at Riccarton accounted for the Canterbury Cup and the Metropolitan Handicap, both mile and a half events. Gayest Son was successful over seven furlongs at the latter meeting and was just beaten by Old Bill over a mile and a quarter at Woodville. He ran a fine race in the Christmas Handicap on Thursday when he finished second to Kindergarten. Don't Forget won the Dunedin Guineas, one mile, and was later second to Knrioh in the New Zealand Derby at Riccarton. Sir Beau annexed the Wellington Guineas, one mile, and was successful over six furlongs at Awapuni last Saturday, so that he has recent winning form.
