TOUGH—OR LUCKY?
Koyeoe is a small English village nine miles from Bedford on the Kimbolton Road. A tablet on the west wall of the church tells an amazing story of William Dickens, a 'bricklayer, who fell from the steeple to the ground, a distance of 132 feet. Not only did he live to tell the tale, but he ascended the steeple and finished the job seven months after his frightful fall. His ieg and foot were broken, but lie made a good recovery and lived for forty years afterwards.
