Following the heavy rain of Tuesday and periodically yesterday, the weather cleared early this morning, and the Auckland Racing Club's Cup meeting was opened in excellent weather. The attendance was large and the track in first-class order.

Beau Vite Comes Through. Beau Vite put up one of the best performances *i n the history of the Auckland Cup when he won with 9.6. He was ridden a perfect race by A. E.
