The Dominion organiser, Mr. Abel, of ■ lie Million Pounds All Purposes Patriotic Appeal, reports an incroa.-e of £20,000 since the end of last week, bringing the total in hand to £387,440. .Contributions from the various centres are as follow: Auckland. £103.000; Canterbury, £72.000; Otago. £•51.000; Wellington," £.">5,340; Hawke's Bay £35.000; East Coa sit. £23.000; Southland, £14.000; Nelson. £9100; Taranaki. £0800; West land. £4700; Marlborough. £3500. . Wellington's queen carnival will open early in February and finish wilh an Easter carnival. The coronation will take place late in May.
