In Dodecanese
" DIABOLICAL ENEMY."
(Reed. 2 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 12. Reference to the incredible hardships suffered by the Greeks in the Dodecanese was made in a statement i-stied by the Greek Dodecanese Committee. The ltnlians arrested all male Creeks and herded them into moat- and trenches, where they were made to sleep on the muddy ground. They were given rotten food in the smallest <|iiantities.
(Recti. 2 p.m.)
Gaolers remove the dead and dying daily. The Italians requisitioned all cattle and foodstuffs and compelled many Greeks to MiK-ist on herbs. Those still alive are more like ghosts than living perßons.
"Wo proclaim before Cod and man that civilisation has know n no more diabolical enemy than Fascist 'Italy." concludes the statement.
