JAPAN PEEVED.
U.S.-BRITISH MOVES.
" Collective Pressure Against Nippon." I'nitwl Pi.Association. —Coj it right. (Heed. 11 a.m.) LONDON". Dec. 12. An editorial in tin* Japanese newspaper "Asahi," commenting on British and American pressure on Japan, says the new British loan of i.10.000,000 to Chungking synchronises with the extension of American restrictions on iron and steel exports.
It is obvious that the two actions are taken in concert as part of collective pressure against Japan.
Such a flagrant manifestation of hostility towards Japan by Britain and America will stiffen Chungking's resistance. thus prolonging the Sino-Japanese conflict and intensifying rivalry betweei Nanking and t'h:::;^king.
