RESTRICTED DEALINGS. N.Z. INSURANCES WEAKER. Though bidding was more animated on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day business remained restricted and values for thos»e securities which had weakened during the week showed no improvement. In tlie insurance {troup Xew Zealanus eased to £3 19, while South British were steady at £2 9/, a price below the average of the last few weeks. Two leading Australian industrials changed hands at late rates. Holders of Wilson Cements conceded 2d. but otters were not raised beyond IS (i. Inquiry wa.-> again keen for Government pttK-k, bidding for the 1943-46 4 per cent issue being particularly strong, but holders moved awav. Two parcels of Dominion scrip which have not been dealt in for over a fortnight, Farmers' Auctioneering Company (A pref.) and Xew Zealand Drug, recorded advances at the noon call, but there were few price changes.
