TWO DROWNED.
WOMAN AND CHILD.
BODIES FOUND IN HARBOUR.
The bodies of a woman, aged about 44. and a child, aged about six years, were recovered from the liarhour in the vicinity of the Parnell baths about 7.31} o'clock this morning. The child was in the woman's arm-. Both bodies were fully dressed. J he discovery of the bodies was made by boys in the vicinity, and the police were immediately notified, the bodies, being removed to the morgue at tu<> Auckland Hospital.
A handbag which evidently belonged to the woman was found about 20(1 or .'{(Ml yards from where the bodies were recovered. Though neither t lie wmi;an nor child has yet been identified, it is stated that there was a letter in the handbag which was addressed to Mrs. Ricketts. Point Chevalier.
