Expeditionary Force to Auckland on SATURDAY. December 14. 1940. His Worship the Mayor. Sir Ernest Davis. Kt.. will address the troops on behalf of the citizen* at the Domain Cricket Ground at 11 o'clock. All citizens are cordially invited to be present. His Worship requests business interests in the city kindly to make a generous display of flags on this day. In the event of wet weather the ceremony will take place in the Town Hall. Citizens will realise that in this event there will be little or no space available except for the troops. The public are warned against standing on verandahs or fire escapes. Grafton Bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian trftic during the march of the troops irom the Domain to Karangahape Road, and Karangahape Road, between Symonds Street and Upper Queen Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic only during the same period. Motorists particularly are requested kindly to assist the traffic authorities by keeping clear of the route of the march, which will be by way of Domain Drive. Park Road. Grafton Bridge. Karangahape Road, Queen Street and Customs Street East. A section of the Parade will proceed to Quay Street, where it will be dismissed.
