LIBERAL PEACE DUPES.
To-day, many people are pleading for peace. The fact is that the liberal inind lias always been the victim of Itfl sentimental unrealism regarding human nature, and its lack of discrimination in ideas and sympathies. Passionately believing in progress, and the cause <rf jppressed humanity, these people ar# ready swallow anything that ii labelled "'peace" or "democracy," and to support any party which professes to oppose "reaction" and to serve the "underdog." Thus where democracy still remains, hordes of progressives, brimful of goodwill and Christian zeal, for social justice are serving the Marxist's turn and absorbing their outlook, and, in the name of peace, are cheerfully and innocently uttering invitations to class war. It is necessary, therefore, one would think for the true lover of peace to scrutinise carefully the aims and personnel of any "peace movement" to which he is invi.ted to adhere, if he is to avoid being drawn into giving aid unawares to a most insidious form of propaganda that would wreck the verv cause he desires to serve. IN THE NAME OF PEACE.
