GOOD WAR WORK.
ST. ANDREW'S AUXILIARY. Members of the St. Andrew's Ladies' Auxiliary were congratulated on their excellent war work by the president. Mrs. .T. K. Black, at the final At Home of the auxiliary. Miss Jean McFarland, tha New Zealand contralto, was among the guests, who were welcomed by Mrs. Black. The report of the members' work for the Soldiers' Comfort Fund presented bv the (honorary necret a rv. M rs. M. Tyne, stated that since March, over .">.>o articles, including scarves, socks, mittens, caps and balaclavas, had l»een made and sent to the patriotic de|H>t at Yorkshire House. Over .">OO articles had also boo n given to lwivs of Scottish |M rents before leaving for service overseas. Funds donated 'by members of the auxiliary had l>een used to buy wool for the latter articles. Impromptu items were given by the members, after which afternoon tea was served.
