MARSEILLES RAID. French Centre Supplying Nazi War Orders. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Reed. 11 a.m.) LONDON*, Nov. 27. The Vichy Government's protest against the alleged bombing of Marseilles has reached London and is receiving the Government's consideration. •The Chicago "Daily News" Washington correspondent says the British bombing of Marseilles is likely to be merely the first of a series, because Marseilles and other centres in unoccupied France are being filled with German war orders. At least 12, and probably 20 factories, have accepted orders, and others are expected to follow. The French liave been warned that Britain will consider such plants legitimate targets. ITALIAN CLAIMS. (Reed. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON. Nov. 27. An Italian communique admits the I Royal Air Force raid on Turin last night and says bombs damaged some buildings in the centre of the city, aleo, in the suburbs, and set fire to a glass factory. Some damage was also done to the harbour at Tripoli, and a raid was made on Valona. It adds that it is reliably established that six warships were hit by bombs during an attack on Alexandria on November 10.
