SNOOKER TOURNEY.

A feature of play in the Great Northern snooker tournament at Messrs. Barton and McGill's hall last evening was the splendid exhibition given by J. Shepherd, who scored 211 points in three games in 54 minutes. Shepherd defeated R, W. Wright by 274 points to 180. In the second game J. Delich beat D. white very decisively, the score being 245 to 187.

Games for to-night:—J. Fern (98) v. R. Hall (63), at 7.30; W. Knott (63) v. A. H. Nlcholls (77). 8.30.
