FREEZING INDUSTRY.
EFFICIENCY PROPOSALS,
WELLINGTON, Friday.
Proposals aimed at a better understanding and the avoidance of friction in the freezing industry have been made by a conference of representatives of the freezing companies and the New Zealand Freezing Workers' Association held in Wellington this week. A works' efficiency council, to meet oiKe a fortnight, and a national council, whose functions shall be the settling of any disputes arising between the parties, are suggested.
The conference followed discussions by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. P. G. "Webb, in the past few weeks with representatives of the employers and •workers. —(Parlia menta rv Reporter.)
