SABOTAGE ATTEMPTS.

U.S. SHIPBUILDING PLANT.

(Reed. 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 3.

Sabotage occurred at the Sun shipbuilding plant at Chester after Nazis and Communists had joined forces.

The company's marine chemist, Mr. Walter Appleby, informed the Dies sub-committee for investigating unAmerican activities that two attempts had been made to interfere with the machinery of oil tankers which were undergoing repairs. Fires were narrowly averted.
