MOVEMENTS OF SHIPPING.
Arriving from San Francisco, via Suva, the Matson liner Mariposa berthed at Queen's wharf early this afternoon. She will remain in port overnight, and will sail to-morrow morning at 11 o'clock for Sydney and Melbourne. Waimarino, Union Company steamer, will sail late to-night for Wellington and southern ports. (U.S.S; Co.) Karepo is scheduled to sail this evening for Westport. (U.S.S. Co.) Waiana left Dunedin to-day for Bluff, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.) The Anchor Lfne motor ship Puriri, which left Greymouth yesterday, is due at Onehunga to-morrow morning. Alexander is scheduled to leave Greymouth next week for Dargaville, thence Onehunga. She will load for Nelson and bays and leave Onehunga about October 16. (X.S.S. Co.) The Northern Company's Hauturu is scheduled to arrive from Xew Plymouth and Wanganui on Sunday. The towboat Kumeu is on the slip for overhaul before leaving for Grevmouth.
