CLUBS AND SOCIETIES.
United Women's Movement.—At the weekly luncheon. Mrs. L. Bond gave a talk on India, outlining the history of the country'"s political, economic and social problems. She stressed the importance of the present struggle for national independence.
Thames Girls' Club. —The monthly reunion vae held in the Druids' clubrooni, Kewton. Mrs. H. Stubbing, president, welcomed the member*. The evening was spent mainly in sewing for the Lady Gal way Guild. Mrs. Snowling led community einging. A competition was won by Mre. McPherson.
