REMITTANCES.
NEW ZEALAND SOLDIERS. ONLY 1/ A DAT. WELLINGTON, this day. "All remittances to members of the Now Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas are limited to an aggregate of £20 New Zealand currency per annum," said Mr Holland (National, Chrietchurch North) in the House of Representatives yesterday when giving notice of hie intention to ask the Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, whether he would make provision to enable relatives and friends of New Zealand eoldiere serving overseas to send to the men substantially larger remittances from the Dominion than were at present allowed, thus placing them on a more favourable comparative basis with Australian soldiers than was at present the case? Mr. Holland said that with the limit imposed on remittances the aggregate amount allowed to be forwarded in a year worked out at less, than 1/ a day sterling, whereas Australian soldiers rould receive from Australia up to £100 sterling every three months, and more if necessary.—(Parliamentary reporter.)
