CLIPPER'S FLIGHT.
STARTS RETURN TO-MORROW.
A short observation flight over the city was made by Pan-American Airways' Honolulu Clipper this afternoon, after a preliminary flight had been made to test the newly-installed engine. Representatives of Government Departments, the City Council and Harbour Board, the American Consulate, Tasman Empire Airways, and some commercial firms connected with the company were carried as passengers on the flight by special invitation. -
The Clipper is now expected to commence its return flight to-morrow inorn^g.
Tasman Empire Airways flying boat Awarua will leave for Sydney tomorrow morning with a full passenger list. About 2501b of mail and freight weighing in the vicinity of 2001b also will be carried.
Included among the passengers are Mrs. M. E. Darlow. Misses Malcolm, L. E. Elson, M. A. White, Quarrell and Messrs. N. McArthur, H. Rowe, B. Bunn C. T. S. Pinfcott, G. J. Barton, J. McKenzie Wilson, Hussey, Tomlinson, McGillirray and F. Crinnons. Captain J. W. Burgess will be in command.
