CLUBS AND SOCIETIES.
Royal Society of St. George.—Aα enjoyable evening was spent at the Catholic women's rooms -when the monthly At Home was held. Mr. P. Heath-Preest, president, assisted by Mrs. Heath-Preest, received the guests. A delightful musical programme was presented by Mrs. Hobday, musical convener, those assisting being Mrs. D. Mac Donald, Mr. A. Wright, and Mr. J. Read. Miss Hassal and Miss B. Mayo acted as accompanists. Mrs. A. Webb, council member of the Wellington branch, was guest of honour. • • • •
Men of Kent. —The monthly social was-held recently, the president, Mr. G. S. Baker, presiding. Items were given by Mrs. WilsheYe, Miss E. Stanbridge, Mr. E. W. Robins and Master Ronald Jones. Music for dancing was provided by Mrs. A. T. Maunder and Mr. Robins.
Bible in Schools League. —The women's committee held an enjoyable afternoon at the Farmers' Trading Company's board room, Hobson Street Mrs. Cranston took the chair and welcomed home the president, Mrs H. Kasper, from Australia. She also introduced the Rev. Blamires, organising secretary for the Dominion of the Bible in Schools League, Wellington, who was the speaker for the afternoon. Items were enjoyed.
Harmony Group.— At the monthly meeting a delightful programme' was presented, those taking part .being Mesdames H. McLennan and R. Watts, Miss P. Gribbin, Messrs. H. McLennan, A. Pow, L. Harvey and J. W. Bailey. A sketch was produced l>y Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bailey, Mies B. Birch and Mr. D. Morrison. The accompanists were Miss D. York and Mr. A. Pow.
Radiant Living. —The second anniversary of tlie Sutcliffe School" of Radiant Living was held in the Harmony Hall, Wellesley Street, Auckland, when Mrs. W. Harvey, president, welcomed the founder and principal of the school, Dr. Herbert Sutcliffe. Miss D. Toft secretary to Dr. Sutcliffe, brought greetings to Auckland from the Radiant Living Schools throughout Great Britain and America. Bouquets were also presented to Mrs. Harvey, Mrs. Gertrude Hillary, secretary of the Auckland School, Mrs. A. Probert, treasurer, Mise Joan Sutherland, vice-presi-dent, and to Miss E. Gow, the librarian. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. P. A. Hillary; vice-presi-dents, Mrs. May Harvey, Mrs. Gertrude Hillary; treasurer, Mre. A. Probert; musical director, Mrs. D. Pirie; secretary, Mrs. Kathleen Reeves; teachers' director, Mr. Edmund Hillary; librarian, Miss Claire Rose; physical culture director, Mr. W. Hieatt; committee, Misses Sutherland, Jowsey, Lapish, Miller, Heyward, Mrs. J. McLennan, Messrs. F. Cook, A. Hartmann and N. Probert.
