An interesting and lecture illustrated by lantern elide*, on "Speech and Hearing" was given by Dr. J. Hardie Neil in the University College Hall last night. Three films, of which the lecturer said Auckland had been fortunate to obtain copies, were also shown., TKe lecture was arranged by the Auckland branch of the British Medical Association in connection with the winter series of the Auckland Institute and Mr. W. A. Fairclough, president of the institute council, was in the chair.
