DOMINION AIRMEN.
ONE AH AUCKLAHDEK.
: Two more New Zealand airmen serving with the Royal Air Force hare ben killed in action. They are SeigeaatGunner James Bracegirdle, of Auckland, and Flying-Officer James Alfred Paterson, of Chatton, near Gore.
Yesterday Mr. A. Bracegirdle, of 7, Heather Street, Parnell, was informed that his son had been killed in actio*. He had been reported missing on September 11. Sergeant-Gunner Bracegirdle was not quite 22 years of age. Educated' at the Parnell * School and Seddon Memorial Technical College, he was well-known as an amateur wrestler and as a member of the Parnell Rugby team. Enlisting two weeks after war was declared, he left for England last March and ever since he had . served with the Royal Xew Zealand Air Force ia Britain.
Mr. Bracegirdle, sen., who has a «oa in the First Echelon and another in the Second Echelon, served in the South African War and the Great War. Served at Dunkirk. Relatives in Auckland yesterday received advice that Flying-Officer James Alfred Paterson, of Chatton, near Gore, bad been killed in a fierce air battle. He was the elder son of Mr. S. B. Paterson, of Chatton. Almost 21 years of age, he was educated at the Gore High School. Flyinp-Oflicer Paterson was trained at Taicri and Wigram and left for England with a short' service commission in the Royal Air Force early last year. When lie completed his training he was posted to a squadron and took part in the operations in Flanders and the evacuation of Dunkirk.
