• • • • Miss Auriol Mclnnes, who has been sports mistress at Waitaki Girls' High School for the past 18 months, left New Zealand recently to take a new post at an English girls' school at Haifa, Palestine. News has been received that she has arrived at her destination, having made the trip from Sydney by air. Miss Mclnnes, who belongs to Carlisle, England, lived for some years in Palestine and subsequently in Colombo, before coming to New Zealand two years ago.

Mre. J. Cheesman is a Wellington visitor to Auckland.

Mrs. Harley Macindoe, who has been spending some weeks with Mrs. C. G. Macindoe, Westbourne Road, Remuera, left yesterday for Rotorua. Mrs. Kenneth Macindoe, of Bell Road, Remuera, has also left to spend some weeks in Rotorua.
