BAKERS' EXEMPTION.
APPLICATION REFUSED,
Mr. K. J. Watson, secretary of the Xow Zealand Bakers' Union, this morninpr received notice, that the application made by master baker* for exemption from paying the recent 5 p.e. increase in wages to certain employees has bc.on refused. Kmplovees aflferfod were bakers, pastrycooks, drivers and clerical workers. These will now receive the increased wages.
