: Job For Main Body Man All Diggers will be delighted at the ) appointment of Major-General R. Young, f - C.8., C.M.G., D.5.0., to the Command . of the Home Guard. Major-General r Young left New Zealand with the Main . Body in the Great War and served with the Ist Canterbury Infantry Regiment ' in Egypt, Gallipoli and France. After r the evacuation he was given command ( of this fine regiment, and moulded it , into an exceptionally fine fighting unit. A strict disciplinarian and a born [ soldier, he always studied the welfare of ' his men; a man who. would not think 1 '• of asking his men to do what he would ' not do himself:' Diggers will heartily congratulate the ' major-general on his appointment and I wish him every success on his well- , merited appointment.
