Fresh Rumanian frontier incidents include the shooting down of a Rumanian r plane by three Soviet 'planes at Barlad. 20 miles within Rumania, says a message from Bucharest. All Rumanian troop leave has been stopped. Reservists Lave been called up. M. Molotoff, .Soviet Premier, and Foreign Commissar, received Dr. Gafencu, giving him certain assurances regaiding relations.

A menage from Vienna says the talks between the German and Italian Foreign Ministers and the representatives, of Hungary and Rumania have been adjourned until to-morrow.

Kibbeutrop and Ciano conferred at length with Count Teleki. Hungarian Prime Minister, and Count Csaky, Hungaria Foreign Minister, and then with M. Manoilescu, Rumanian Foreign Minister, after which the Hungarian and Rumanian delegations reported to their Governments.

The Berlin news agency says: '"The Italian and German Foreign" Ministers gave both delegations numerous fresh standpoints for consideration.

''The Axis Powers are obviouslv at pains to let the parties form tbeir'own principles for the direction of their particular T«bensraum.' The roles of Berlin and Rome in the task of European reconstruction are clear, and the. parties are not being treated as objects of power politics, but as directors of their own mode of life."

In Rome the Sfefani news agencv reporte: "The Hungarian delegates showed themselves ready to accept advice and suggestions from the Axis Powers. This attitude is destined to make a solution easier."

The Swiss radio stated that Rumania had given amnesties to, political offenders, chiefly be*>ftting the Iron Guard (the Fascist organisation).
