ELECTIONS POSTPONEMENT. WHAKATANE, Thursday. The Whakatane County Council at its monthly meeting decided to advise the Counties' Association that the council did not favour the postponement of the local body elections. It was contended that the executive of the association exceeded its authority in indicating its decision to the Government on behalf of all eountv councils.
